Just like with wine, the complex flavors of coffee, cacao, and honey are directly influenced by their environment. From the acidity of the soil to the flowers bees prefer, a number of seemingly minuscule differences come together to orchestrate the flavors we are all obsessed with. Fitting for the concept of Terroir, our design approach turned to the tiny details, pulling together textures, illustrated elements, and complex linework to create a visual experience unlike anything else.
First up, chocolate. We designed and developed a wide repertoire of packaging options for four different flavors. Gold, silver, bronze, and black foil elevated the already complex design work, giving the packaging an old-world, hidden treasure feel. While, at the same time, clean lines and geometric angles gave the design a sense of modernity.
As the offering expanded into the world of honey, we created a design with a lighter approach.
